‘You were made for learning beyond limitations.”

When The Arbor School reached out to Pandr with a request for a large mural for their campus in Houston, TX, we immediately jumped at the chance to work with them. We at Pandr love working with schools and non-profit organizations to create something beautiful and meaningful for their patrons to enjoy. I’ve seen first hand the effect a mural can have many times, and it is in these places where the joy and awe a mural can bring is most palpable.

The Arbor School is a school for children with special needs. They wanted a welcoming reminder that learning is for everybody - artwork that parents, teachers, and students could enjoy as they drive down past on the way to school everyday. The only rules for this design was to use the school’s brand colors, incorporate their leaf logo, and create something that felt positive and inspiring. With this in mind, I got to work mocking up the design you see in these photos.

Over the course of four days, we painted this 1000 sqft mural with the help of six female Houstonians & artist assistants, and my never-fail Doodle Grid Method. Despite the 90+ degree weather, this all-girl crew had a blast installing the mural, and interacting with the students who came by to check out the progress each day.

The Arbor School was a joy to work with - easy to communicate with, responsive, and respectful -it’s hard not to feel good being surrounded by color, sunshine, and amazing families and teachers. We all absolutely love how this one turned out!
